In this clip, students review their own work.
Here, I'm stressing the words -- highlighting the words in the word problem that are giving students the challenge. They know those are important words, but some of them are unsure of the operation involved. I noticed that it was time for the students to get up off of the carpet, and they were ready to examine their own work, to take the information and apply it to their own thinking. In our planning session, this is one of the goals I wanted my colleagues to look for: were students able to apply what they learned to their own work and make any needed changes or add information.
