Clip 13/15: Day 158: Reinforcing expectations for listening and attending to peers

Supporting the Learning Community: By the end of the year, Mia’s second graders have practiced with what it looks like to support each other’s thinking, “looking at each others’ ideas”, though she still reinforces behavioral expectations for listening with them. She challenges students to think while they listen, asking themselves “Do I get it? Do I understand them? Do I agree with them?”
